BACOLOD CITY – A daily wage increase of from P33 to P40 for workers in private establishments and P1,000 for household service workers or “kasambahays” in Western Visayas have been approved by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB).
An additional P33 has been approved for non-agricultural (more than 10 workers) currently receiving P480 for a total of P513, and P35 for non-agricultural (10 workers or less) from the current P450 to P485, Regional Director Sixto Rodriguez Jr. said Tuesday evening.

The approved new wage order will be submitted to the National Wages and Productivity Council for review to ensure that the RTWPB has complied with the basic requirements.
